Levy's 2014-15 NBA Season DLC

Welcome to the 2014-15 Season DLC. After I dedicated several months to this project (even starting it from scratch twice!), I can proudly announce that this mod is now complete!

Briefly, the files containing the graphical part of the game were made by various patchers in 2013 and 2014. I updated some of them while others might be outdated by one year. The Roster file (.ROS) that loads the whole DLC was made 100% by me over several months of hard work in 2014 (basically a whole year!). It has been tested with a special set of sliders that also took a year to build. This DLC can be yours for $10 (lunch price here in Europe!) – or $5 if you order 2 separate DLCs from my blog! The fee is payable through PayPal - which is the most popular way to make payments online. I have put an unbelievable amount of effort in this project because I'm a perfectionist. I guarantee that paying fans won't be disappointed.

Now here's all about the 2014-15 DLC. I first started creating some of the missing players (Elijah Millsap, Langston Galloway, Justin Holiday, Dwight Powell, Furkan Aldemir, Devyn Marble, Dewayne Dedmon, Tyler Johnson etc.) and ended up updating a huge pack of new CFs for 227 players who were originally in 2K11 and were still in the game in 2015. It took 1-2 months of work to add 2K14 textures to 2K11 3D models for all the players in 2014-15 DLC. Most of them have their tattoos accordingly. As a side-note, you can use this first pack with any mods, older or newer, as their CFs IDs are unchanged.

The biggest part of my job was the gameplay itself. All the adjustments I made are inside the Roster file (.ROS), part of them are related to players skills and tendencies, another part to Coaches Profiles. I managed to make everything run flawless after trying for so long to correct a few 2K Sports bugs like un-guardable player moves ("hopping" and "stepback jump shot") and shots especially the bankshot ("use glass") which players rarely missed. I also chose to eliminate the leaner and drifter shots from the game because they look ugly and unrealistic.

In case you're interested in acquiring this mod, send me a message to leeunagi@gmail.com with your PayPal payment and I will send you an email containing the Roster file (.ROS), the excel file with the player rotations at the beginning of the 2014-15 season, as well as the 2014-15 Season mode saved file inside the game (.RFG) with all the rotations/situationals set according to the real teams lineups.

The 2014-15 Season DLC features:
- correct arena names, roster and coaches with the latest NBA trades and transactions as the beginning of 2014-15 season on November 1st, 2014
- players with accurate bio (position, height, age, college, draft pick), appearance (eyes color, muscle & body type), skills and tendencies (including touches, isolation, post up, spot up etc.)
- personalized arm/legs color, body shape for every coach & player
- tweaked a few player names so the announcers will call them by the name instead of "ABC" e.g. Lin for (Alex) Len, Schroeder for (Dennis) Schröder, Isaiah Cannon for Isiah Canaan etc.; also the players whose names are not on the 2K11 list and they can't be pronounced by the arena announcer were left open so you can use the in-game editor and pick one of the nicknames yourself
- 2014-15 Season rookies created (with CFs!) based on their college average 40 mins stats or the current NBA season when applicable (if their NBA stats were already relevant after 2 months of their rookie season)
- assigned team colors to each player’s shoes on the team roster and white/black accesories (white for dark skin, black for bright skin); this is the Shoe pack that I am using
- new CFs (2K14 textures to 2K11 3D models) for 227 players who were originally in 2K11 and are still in the game this season
- the complete cyberface pack (90% of them updated by me with 2K14 textures) for 438 players
- correct logos for every team
- team floors
- team arenas
- dornas from previous season
- playoff crowds from previous season
- 30 teams jerseys (plus PHX updated by me)
- 2014 Charlotte Hornets mod (jerseys, floor, logos)
- added the NBA TV presentation mod with a new scoreboard and a new halftime report
- a new high-textured ball with Adam Silver's signature (my add-on)
- a new style of portraits (100% my work in photoshop+gimp!) for every active player in the NBA plus many FAs
- a new recent picture of Doris Burke as none of the 2K mods in NLSC community updated that particular picture recently (my add-on)
- a new Global setting that adds realistic upper body to legs ratio with accurate muscle definition (a first in 2K11 modding!)

The following screens give you a preview of my 2014-15 Season mod - which it's been released here on my blog and is easy to get if you're willing to pay the $10 fee! For full-screen viewing please click on the images.

I lost this game (me playing with PHX) but I am more than satisfied! The game was tied at least 7 or 8 times and slipped away in the last 2 minutes. I did my best to keep up with HOU, even hacked Dwight but they won being led by "The Beard", crazy James Harden, who had 45 pts and pretty much humiliated Goran Dragic on the SG position in defense (while I played with Eric Bledsoe on PG locked position by getting 17 pts & 10 ast & 6 to and slowed down Patrick Beverley who went only 4-13 in FG).

Another test for this mod was a game between PHX and MIN. The game almost went to overtime so I am really happy with the balanced score and the general flow of the game. Here are a few screenshots; if you want to view them in full-screen, click on the thumbnails and a new page will open.

I don't usually do courts or jerseys (they are quite difficult when you don't have the right tools) but as for the last treat I had to add the Charlotte Hornets to my 2014-15 DLC. Btw, the screenshots that you are seeing are from another successful well-balanced game using the final version of my Settings & Sliders.

In order to acquire the necessary file to run the DLC presented here, please get in touch with me. I will also try to assist you in case you need any further instructions about how to install this DLC on your rig and make it compatible with mods you already have installed or other mods you might want from me (e.g. the 1997-98 DLC and later the 1992-93 DLC).

Feel free to use my email leeunagi@gmail.com in case you have any questions as - silly enough - I can only view and cannot reply in the comment section of this blog. Of course I will ignore any stupid messages from people who are acting like trolls. So please be more open-minded and ask the right question(s) if you want to hear back from me. And of course, keep 2K11 running and have fun! ;)

As a longtime NBA 2k11 player I highly recommend this mod! It's really well done and well worth the price of purchase IMO.

I am taking a break from updating my blog and from posting anything because the circumstances of my life have changed a lot and I moved to a different continent. But I might be back soon with some news. Until then feel free to email me. Cheers, Lee Unagi!

Hey dumbass are you still tryin to sell things which are for free?

No MOFO, I am charging for my hard work. You illiterate cunt should read the whole post before commenting with your hate words!

P.S. I am pretty sure you are Andrew from NLSC or at least one of his trusty fucked-up minions lobbying for 2K's buggy games.

Anonymous said...

Are they lobbying for 2k games? Im almost sure yes they are. Am i Andrew or one of his minions? No. Im from nlsc ideed. Are you dumbass? yup. When you will understand that modding is for free? If you dont want to waste your time on modding, just stop modding. You created 3 seasons and you want to take money for this when other guys like hawk or skoadam takin no single dollar? you are a joke man.

LN said...

Nobody ever said modding is for free unless you own the modding bible and know better than the rest of us! :)) By the way, both those guys got a shitload of money (literally hundreds of dollar) from people like me and you. They call it "donation" but it is the same shit called everywhere else: "money". Did they work for it? Yes. Did I work for it? Yes. So we are even. Now, if you don't like my work, move on and spread your hate somewhere else. And why are you here anyway? You seem to be the 2K14 or 2K16 kind of guy.

Anonymous said...

How its possible that you know how many donation they have? How??? You think people spent money just like that when they dont have to? you really lost reality dude. Difference is you can donate but you dont have to. This is well known modding rule. You want to know why modding is for free dumbass? Because you are not the owner of this or other game. You want re-sell the same thing, its against law.

LN said...

Because I am modder and I know how much the tools cost (guess what, they are not for FREE!) because I paid for them, so those guys also paid for the software to be able to modify the files inside 2K games.

I am getting tired of some noob's lectures who gets candy money from his parents. So please do something else with your life and stop trolling us here, OK? Or at least have the balls of a grown-up and comment using a real name.

You didnt responded on my question dumb###. Facts are facts, you cant re-sell game content, you are not the owner to the trademark of 2k. Its not your files. Create your own game, then you can sell every single season. But now? Its against the law.
Vlad create his tool from zero, he is programmer, he can sell it, his property. 2k files are not your property, is it clear for you?
How much tools cost? this is your reason to sell your mod? full version od redmc cost 30$, still you dont have to buy it, no one force you to do it. Jeez how stup#d you are.

LN said...

Dear Thom-ass, if you are so in bed with the law and love the facts so much then please prove us that I got any money from selling my work. To use your own words, "How its possible that you know people gave me money? How???"

And NO, you don't know shit about the benefits of the full version of REDMC because you are not a modder: it would have been impossible to edit everything on the Roster for different seasons and create different files without it.

From now on I will not accept criticizing from someone who is a NOOB. In your own words "nobody forces you to read my blog" so stay away and go back to school and study more before opening your mouth or writing any more shit on other people's blogs.

Which gameplay graphic mod you are using?

LN said...

If you meant the graphic mod only (not the gameplay which is in the settings), then my answer is...my own which is a combination of elements from different mods that I mixed together to get new clothing accessories for the players, new lighting in the arenas, progressive sweat and so on. They are all in a single file, the global file.
